Panda just turned 15, and for almost half of our life, we’ve been hosting the PANDAwomen festival. It was originally conceived to draw attention to the challenges women face in breaking into the music industry. Statistics show that nearly 70% of successful performers are men.

PANDAwomen helped us find a new direction, becoming both a symbol and a driving force behind our renewal. In fact, this festival marked the first event of Panda’s revival back in 2018. Since then, every autumn has been dedicated to women’s music from nineteen countries. The events of recent years have compelled us to dedicate the festival to women musicians who have been forced to flee persecution, war, and terror. It’s our way of supporting artists who have lost not only their homeland but also their audience, their stage, and often the ability to speak in a language their listeners can understand.

In Panda’s special anniversary year of 2024, we decided to invite the best performers from PANDAwomen 2018–2024. We’ll admit it: bringing everyone together is impossible. Over the years, the festival has hosted dozens of artists from 19 countries, and PANDAwomen traditionally takes place over only seven Fridays. But we’ve done our best, and you can look forward to seven unforgettable concerts!
